For any of you, who have been through the “wedding date roller coaster ride” with us, thank you… for being so patient. As the location switched from Hilton Head, Texas, Kentucky, and Ohio and the date changed from Thanksgiving, to December, to April to May, to finally settling on June 11, 2011… but if we must be honest, “something” just still didn’t feel right about June. Plans, ideas weren’t coming together and the nine months seemed so ridiculously far away.
So why the final change in date you may ask… because God is good to those who obey Him. :) We had our first pre-marriage counseling with my childhood Pastor Saturday morning and felt really called to switch the date, and then the Sunday service solidified it. As if God was saying “Hannah I knew this would happen all along” except He used my mom and Jeremy to convince me. So we are thrilled to announce in 3 months (Yes!! 3 months!! “Not much!” as Fronk would say) we will become husband and wife, and family on Sunday, December 19, 2010 in my hometown. (My Grandpa Groscost’s 80th birthday!)
God must have been working His magic because why in the world did I feel inspired to post about Christmas trees on the first day of autumn? Ha! He was planning for it all weekend… I bought Jeremy’s ring Saturday and Sunday we picked out the suits for the groom and groomsmen and ring bearers. We called about a reception site at 9pm on Sunday and the event coordinator knew what was available! Jeremy's family was so wonderful and encouraging about the news and are making every effort to be with us. Our family and friends are happy for us and feel it just seems right. We are excited!
