Blessed Kitchen

Reality check! We haven't had an oven in over a year now. I am sure if you are a regular follower you have read that our basement flooded last May and we have been surviving on a crock pot, stove top, microwave, and grill. Thankfully it's summer and all we do is eat grilled food. Although a lasagna and fresh oatmeal cookies don't sound too bad right now. Evelyn and Sam would request meat loaf!
I had to share "the kitchen" that has gotten us through! And we are grateful that we even have a second kitchen so we could take our time remodeling the basement living space and kitchen. Without this kitchen, Jeremy wouldn't have been able to save us money by doing all the work himself. So definitely grateful!

Great counter space! Beautiful wallpaper and cabinets.
Love the "hands on" dish washer.
(That's what the bottle of wine is for :)

This oven is wonderful!
If only it worked.
It's great for storage and extra counter space.

Stove top = Life Saver
Only the left burner works :)

The electrical cord and light switch add a special touch.

All joking-ness aside. We are so blessed. And although we look forward to enjoying our new kitchen and all the wedding gifts we haven't been able to use yet... we are so blessed God has provided the way (with the flood), the time, the financial, and the skills He gave Jeremy.
The inspector came last Friday and this Friday to approve the electrical. The building inspector comes on Monday. We are getting closer!
