John Landry Streit was born on
Thursday, October 14th, 2010 in Texas @ 12:05AM
Landry was born via C-Section.
He weighed 7lbs. 6oz. and is 20.5in.
He is a Blondie with Fulton lips.
My little nephew took my sister on quite a ride. Abby checked in to the hospital on Tuesday the 12th @ 5PM. After Chris had just landed home from a business trip.
At 5AM Wednesday, Landry's "planned delivery day" Abby started on the pitocin.
Around 1:36PM (OUR time) Abby's water broke and she was 3cm dilated...
Around 6:14PM (Texas time), Abby is completely effaced... she is completely thinned out.
During the next few hours... we all waited for Landry.
Landry didn't like the medicine and when Abby would have contractions his little heart was affected. I tried to fall asleep around 11PM Wednesday... knowing Landry still hadn't come and my sister was in labor. My alarm was set for 4:00AM October 14th for a busy Interview Day at work. At 3:00AM I wake to go to the bathroom and check my phone to hear the best news!! Landry was finally here!! And better yet, just like his Aunt Hannah Landry wanted an even number birthday so he made Abby wait. :) 10-14-10
Being in Kentucky and waiting around the clock, for the news of my nephew and Godson was very emotional. I have been on my knees in prayer since Tuesday at 5PM, as I know most of you were there praying with us too. As we learned later, Abby's pelvic is too small, so no matter how much she pushed Landry wasn't going to come that way. C-Section was the only option. After 30 hrs of labor... the rewards are great!! Landry is healthy and happy and Abby and Chris are proud parents. Landry's grandparents are all there loving on him and sharing the joy. Uncle Parker and Uncle Connor get to celebrate Landry's life this weekend and he will get to meet his favorite, Aunt Hannah at Turkey Time and if God willing sooner.

Look at Landry...he's so beautiful! I know that his Aunt Hannah will be lovin' on him so much in just a couple weeks! :) Congrats, congrats!!!
